Mark Ramsay, the president and founder of “Golf Range Netting”, comes from an extensive background in the electric power industry. A certified lineman and engineer, he has applied the exacting standards of the power industry to barrier netting applications and has achieved an outstanding reputation for quality.
“Golf Range Netting” never outsources any of our work. All installation crews are “in-house” employees certified to power company standards. Our staff has more than 63 years of combined experience.
Custom Designs
Every netting application is different and we never use out-of-the box kits or systems. We come on site to determine your exact requirements and take precise measurements. We then custom design and engineer a netting system that meets your needs at a competitive price.
Quality Materials
The quality of materials used in the netting system industry varies greatly and is often the weak link that results in costly upkeep or replacement. “Golf Range Netting” uses only the highest quality materials.
- Netting: Polyester or nylon netting in a variety of gauges and configurations depending on the specific application. Our netting is UV stabilized and “jet died” all the way through to prevent fading.
- Hardware – We use:
- Appropriately gauged galvanized wire specifically engineered for netting support. Many competitors use aircraft cable which is not designed for netting installations.
- Galvanized snaps for securing netting to support poles unless the installation is near salt water in which case stainless steel snaps are recommended. Many companies use Zinc plated snaps that can corrode and rust.
- Galvanized double and triple helix square shaft screw anchors. Depending on the application we drill between 14′ and 50′ into the ground to ensure that poles stay secure.
- Support Poles: We offer a full range of high quality support pole options including wood (always new poles), steel, concrete, and fiberglass. We assess your specific netting design, height requirements, and environment and then recommend the most cost effective support pole options.

For example, during hurricane Irene, in only in one instance did any of our many netting systems along the US East Coast suffer any damage. In Rocky Point North Carolina, amid widespread tree and property damage, a single pole at one of our installations was broken when struck by a fallen tree, damaging a small area of netting. We replaced the pole and repaired the damage within 2 weeks, allowing the affected business to resume full operations quickly.
