Why Choose Wooden Netting Poles from Golf Range Netting?
Some Facts about Wooden Posts from “Golf Range Netting”
- We use Douglas Firs and Southern Yellow Pine treated with CCA and Penta to prevent rotting and combustion.
- Whenever possible we use local wood to reduce shipping costs.
- We use wood appropriate to the local climate and conditions. For example Southern Yellow Pine will not hold up well in cold northern climates
- We use pole grades that match the height and weight of the netting application. H1 and H2 grades are stronger and thicker and are used for heights from 85 to 100 feet or for high stress applications. Class 1 and 2 wood, are for more common applications up to 85 feet.
- Most companies will only install wooden netting poles up to a height of 60 feet. By using options such as retractable netting, “Golf Range Netting” can install durable wooden support poles up to heights of 100 feet.
- If local conditions change (e.g. Construction of new homes near a golf course) we can extend wooden netting poles by using steel sleeves and wooden extensions.
“Golf Range Netting” offers a full range of support pole materials, designs, and heights. But under most conditions wooden support poles offer the best combination of durability and cost.
